How to earn Noise Coins?
Silencio rewards app users for measuring noise.
Users can decide whether to make an open measurement or measure through a check-in inside a venue.
Open Measurement
An open measurement is preferably a measurement where a user measures outdoors. This way Silencio can gather relevant data and create a comprehensive noise map which data buyers can utilize. Indoor measurements cater less to no value.
Check-ins
Users rely on Silencio's API to check in at different venues to provide
This means that outdoor data and check-ins are the most relevant data for Silencio.
Walk when measuring
When you walk while you measure you are covering a greater area which increases the amount of noise coins. If that area hasn't been covered before you will get an even bigger number of coins for your measurement.
Use Check-ins
When you are at a restaurant or another venue, use the check-in feature to get an extra boost.
Measure at least once every 36h
The streak feature boosts your earnings by +2.5% for everyday users measuring up to a max of 250%. You will lose your streak when not measuring for more than 36 hours.
Don't measure at the same spot
When measuring at home or in the same spot over and over you will get fewer coins over time.
Don't measure and drive
The app has a speed limit of 12km/h and fast movements influence the quality of the measurement making it less valuable. Measurements from inside a vehicle cannot be utilized and don't have any value.
Silencio rewards users with Tokens for providing hyper-local noise level data with their smartphones and utilizes these data.
